PIX FROM ST. PADDY'S DAY PARADE

We played on the Verde Do Krewe float in the St. Paddy's Day parade in Jackson this past Saturday as "Natalie Long and The Long Shots," with "The Long Shots" being Clinton and our great friend Steve Deaton (of Buffalo Nickel, Eric Stracener and The Frustrations, Men of Leisure, etc.). Setlist included Black Sabbath and AC/DC tunes...selected for their "dark" sound or subject matter since the float's theme was "The Addams Family."

Here are some pix:

RECESS 101

Here's a snippet of video from the performance last night in Brookhaven, MS at Recess 101, a homey venue with awesome decor, a nice stage and PA, friendly management (thanks for the chicken salad!), and a big crowd; the song is "El Camino" by the late, great Emily Graham:

Giggin' With Clinton-Behind the Music

I've been a fan of Buffalo Nickel since 2001. Some dirty fightin' love and a broken heart lead me out to Hal and Mal's to hear this "country" band one night, and I've been a fan ever since. I've been friends with Clinton for years and have daydreamed that one day he and I would form a kickass band to play to the masses. In November, Clinton was sweet enough to play at Hal and Mal's Singers/Songwriters Night, which I host. As Clinton and I were talking, I just randomly said, "Hey, we should start a band." And from there we just started working on songs, and even writing a few. I hope everyone enjoys our music as much as we enjoy performing them.
